We follow the new school of photography: wedding/event/portrait photojournalism. The mantra of photojournalism: a good photographer should only record the news, not be a part of it. That’s the concept we apply when we are recording your wedding day, taking your portrait, or capturing your important event. While some shots can be casually posed, an entire shoot should not be.

What is your style of photography?
Our style of photography is wedding photojournalism. We capture moments and memories, not awkward poses. We do also do posed shots when the occasion calls for it.
Where are you guys located?
We are a mobile photography business. We come to meet you at a place of your choice or we can meet at an agreed upon location. This allows us to capture more natural photographs and adhere to the photojournalist style of photography. And by not having a brick and mortar, we have no rent to pay and thus can past on the savings directly to you!

If you don’t have a studio, then how do we get our pictures?!
Nature and the great outdoors is our studio. By no means does that handicap us from providing you with your pictures! For most basic shoots, we bring along my Apple MacBook Pro and process all the pictures for some slight wrinkle reduction, red-eye, etc. while you wait and burn out all the pictures to a CD for you. This way you are directly involved in the process and we can ensure that all the pictures turn out to your liking!
For more advanced processing and higher level services, We’ll process them and then deliver them you in a few days after the shoot.
What are your hours?
We are pretty flexible with operating hours and strive to work on your schedule.
What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept cash, cashier’s checks, and credit card payments through PayPal with an additional 3% processing fee. Sorry, we can not accept personal checks.
What are your the deposit and cancellation policies?
For weddings, 50% of the total cost of the wedding package is required to secure the date. For all other packages, a 30% deposit is all that is required to secure the date. The deposit must be paid prior to the date of intended photography.
Cancellations require 72 hour notice with the existing deposit forfeit. After 72 hours, the entire amount is due.
What kind of equipment do you use?
At Bui Photography, we use the highest quality photography equipment. We only use high end professional Canon gear.

I’m interested in purchasing prints from the Clients Area. Can you tell me more?
All the prints ordered from our Clients Area are processed, handled and printed by SmugMug.com. Prints are guaranteed by them. If you are unhappy, please contact us and we will either have them reprinted or refund you the cost.
There are three (3) print finishes: matte, glossy, and lustre. Matte is the dull, non-shiny finish that is great because fingerprints hardly appear. Glossy is the nice shiny, colorful finish but prone to fingerprints. Lustre is a new type of print finish that offers the advantages of matte (hardly any fingerprints) with the advantages of glossy (just the right amount of shine to bring out the colors) with none of the disadvantages of the two!
